Emjae's Birthday

Happy Birthday Emjae!!
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Today was a day full of fun. We were lucky enough to have a party over at Aunt Brenda's house, to have great weather and to have some of James family drive up! It started off everyone running behind, but it wasn't a problem because everyone ended up showing up right around the perfect time.
James and I had gotten some small water guns for the nephews so just in case they forgot the swimsuits or just in case the thunderstorm weather they predicted came true and no one would have gotten in the pool. But the weather was perfect and it didn't take long before all the boys were in their swimsuits and in the pool. Mom showed up not too much later and she had gotten a swim suit for Emjae. Needless to say that the cutest kids in the world were all in their swimsuits and in the pool.

James and Monty were at the grill cooking hamburgers and hotdogs. Everyone else was sitting around watching the boys play and just having a good time talking and mingling.
Emjae got tons of cute clothes, a bubble gun, a glow worm doll, a box set of blocks and a little push toys that plays music. All the kids loved the bubble gun and Emjae loved her push toy. PhotobucketPhotobucketbubbles
All the kids just played hard. I know that Emjae had fun and James and I sure enjoyed ourselves. I am so grateful for family and the fun times that we have together. Thank you to everyone that made it to Vegas, and those that couldn't, we missed you!!!

Good News

So my grandpa decided...well... my grandma decided to tell my grandpa to upgrade the internet. They no longer have dial up (thank heavens), they now have high speed. I am so grateful for the little things. I don't have to ask someone to watch emjae while I run to the library to use the internet.
On a different note, we ended up not putting any money down on the apartment. James decided if we are going to be some where for a whole year we should probably like were we are. I have not gotten to see any of these places, but I trust my husband that he would know what I like. I just hope we find something soon. James feels like he's missing out on Emjaes growing and well he kinda is. He misses all the cute things unless I can catch it on my phone, and then of course she doesn't want to do any of the things when he is home on the weekends. She is just growing so fast. My great aunt Durley has taught Emjae to roar like a Tiger. It actually doesn't sound anything like one to me, but it is still the cutest thing ever.
I've decided since the weather has gotten better that Emjae and I are going to go on walks. The last 3 days I have gone around the cemetery atleast once. The first day I did it with my aunt brenda and she set the pace. Needless to say I had contractions all day from walking so fast and all the energy it took. I set the pace the next day and today. I need to do something and it gets me out of the house for 30 mins or so and Emjae does really well in the stroller.
I also decided I need to try and get Emjae to be able to fall asleep with out being cuddled and right next to me. I personally feel it will make things a little bit easier when Julie arrives in July. Everything I have read so far and everyone I have talked to says they all did the "let them cry" method. So...I started yesterday and it was ruff, todays first nap though seemed to go a little better. It still took around 20+ minutes, but she didn't cry the whole time. Hopefully, things will just get better. I hope I don't traumitize her too much.
Ok, so I know I have been promising pictures and now that the internet is fast enough I can do it. Well, the only problem is now I can't find the cord for the camera. So I will have to try and search for it and hopefully find it. If not I know I will see most of the family at Emjae's Birthday next weekend.

Quick Update

Sorry no pictures yet. I am in Ephraim for the day and we are getting a picinic put together to go eat out on Manti Temple's lawn. Easter was really nice and Emjae had a cute little yellow dress. She is growing up so fast. She decided it would be fun to walk up the isle around the front and back down the other side before james got her. She just does not want to sit still. She cut her third tooth. It's the top left side, and now she is cutting 2 more teeth on the other side. 2 more weeks and she is one. I hope everyone will be able to make it to Vegas for her birthday, and don't forget your swim suits. The pool should be cleaned and the weather should be nice.
On a side note we are putting money down for an apartment. Its a 3 bedroom 1 bath here in ephraim. It will either be open the 1st or the 8th of May. Hopefully we get it and things will keep going the way they are suppose to.

Hi!!

So I have about 18 minutes left on the computer. I am at the city library right now using the internet there because it takes me about 30 minutes to even open up my dashboard for my blog at my grandparents house. It sucks!!
Anyways James, Emjae and I are doing good. Emjae thinks please means she gets whatever she wants and she likes to use it to her advantage. She is so cute when she says it. She says it more like pweeessss. And sometimes will roll the s. She is just growing so fast. She is now used to my grandma, her great, and will stay with her at the house if I need to run some errands.
James is a supervisor at work and so far is still liking the job. He is actually excited to see were it will go because the company is expanding so fast. Hopefully it continues to expand while he is there. And yes he is still planning on going to school. He has not forgotten that and I will not let him forget that.
I'm doing good. I have more back pain this pregnancy, but my guess is that it is because of all the Emjae holding that I have been doing. Other than that this pregnancy is going pretty good. I'm 23 weeks now and am just getting bigger. Oh and I don't think I will ever get a break. This one is moving just as much if not more than what Emjae did. Oh the joys. I am truely excited to see how everything is going to come together.
We are still waiting for an apartment, but hopefully soon. I know that I can not stay where I am past May. I will go crazy. Things have been good so far, but I don't want to press my luck. I love and miss all of my family in California and all the birthdays. But hopefully we will all see each other in May in Vegas for Emjaes birthday. Ps. I'm not sure yet, but it may be a pool party for those that want to bring swim suits. pss. I will try to get some pictures up of Emjae soon.

Roses week is OVER!!!!

So I can finally say that I have sold roses for the last year. I have sold roses since I was 12, so that is 12 years I think. I have enjoyed doing it and it helps bring in some money that I don't have to worry about taxes or anything. James came this year with me and we were able to work a stand together, his first year. We started work on Tuesday afternoon and worked til 10 every night until saturday. The first couple days of work is really slow, but this year they did some things that were different. The pay first of all was different. They usually pay by the hour, but decided that since they take a gamble in the buisness, so should the people that are working. They wanted the workers to take more responsibility and so what ever the stand made the workers got 10% of the profits and split it among themselves. The next thing they changed was they only had security for the big tents and out of 16 there were only 3 big tents. That meant that the other 13 had to put away all of the teddy bears, roses, vases, and tables back into a 4x8 box. But putting it away each night meant that we had to set up every morning. Friday would have to be our first somewhat busy day. It ended up raining on us though. We had winds almost everyday and rain thursday and friday for a bit. Thursday it rained a good hour or so, and we had a 10x10 tent with only one side and the box to hold our stuff. Saturday though turned out to be a beautiful day. It was warm for the most part, no winds and no rain. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank heavens it was so nice, because it helped with our sales so we could actually get paid more then the mexicans across the street at home depot waiting to get picked up. At the end on valentines day, the whole family went to blueberry hill. Mom and Dad, Amy and Alex, James and I, Trevor with his friend Kate, Paul and his girlfriend Jackie. It was around 11:30 or so when we started to order our food and we didn't leave until 1:30. The food was great!!!! I would def go back to that place again. I can say though after being on my feet for 60 plus hours that week and being pregnant on top of it made for swollen feet that were painful to walk on. Needless to say, there were a few of us that did not make it to church on sunday.
James and I were suppose to leave on sunday to drive to utah as well so we could be back by wednesday in california. Um....ya we haven't left yet and its still tuesday morning. Roses takes it out of you and we had to wait until today to get paid. So my ultrasound appointment is going to have to be moved as well as my doctors appointment. All will be ok.

Changes

Things happen for a reason and there are so many changes that will be happening in the next few months. If you don't already know James and I are expecting another baby. Ya, it may seem a little soon, but I am slowly becoming more excited about it. There is just so much going on right now with our little family and with extended family and with living situations that it was just another stress at the time. I am now more hopeful though.
James and I have decided that it was just time to get a move on. We knew we had to all along, this news just helped push it to the for front. For that I am happy. We had many options to chose from. Some were great opportunities and some would just help us get by. All of them would come with there own struggles and trials. We made a list, made a decision, prayed about it, and we decided to move to Utah. James is going to finish up his schooling and go into a career that he wants to. Not one that will help bring in tons of money right away or one that is just available.
We wanted to tell the family all of the news since only a few people new we were pregnant, so we asked everyone to come over to the house. It seemed that mom's not to excited about our move. I think she is just concerned for us and sees that there could be a lot of trials if we go back. She has always wanted all of her kids to be dependent and to be able to support their families.
On a personal note I am excited to move. Our plan is to have our own place. And I am so ready for that!!!! It has been very trying at times living with other families and not having my own space. Always having to worry about is the house clean, I have to clean up after emjae before people get home, and having such a small place to put all of our stuff. I have learned a lot, and am grateful for all that the families have done for us. It is just time for me to finally have my home. A home were my family and I can grow, can play, can be stress free from others, and just be us.
I will truly miss being close to family. Tj and Dora are always fun to be around and Dora just says that funniest things at times (you truly are a blonde at heart). Helene always has things going on and she loves seeing emjae I know that it will be hard to not be so close anymore. Monty, Kristin and the boys! Oh the doughnuts we eat when we are together. I don't think I will have them quite as often. And I know I am going to miss all the talks and conversations that we have. We aren't leaving until March so we have about a little over a month still here. But we know it is time for us to move and to do what we need to do.

Our Snow Days

I thought when I moved to California, Southern California, that I wouldn't be dealing with snow in the front yard. I was so wrong!!!! We had a huge snow storm that came through and it snowed all day. We got around a foot of snow. Emjae was dressed in her Ninja outfit and her beanie.
Photobucket
She was our snow ninja for the day. Merita ended up getting 2 extra days off of school and played in the snow as much and as often as she could. The day it snowed she went in and out at least 4 times. Emjae also got to go out in the snow.
Photobucket
We blew up her bath tub, attached a rope to it and made a little sled. She liked it as long as we were moving, but every time we stopped she was not happy and started to cry.
Photobucket
It was so cute. We also made a snow man the day after it snowed.
Photobucket
I have not done that for a good 6 years or so. It was fun! Later that night we had our ward christmas party. Emjae got to take a picture with santa and she was not happy. She was the first child to cry with santa. I will hopefully be getting that picture soon.
Our dinner was ok, we had cold ham, potatoe casseroles, rolls and salad. They had entertainment as well, but we were unable to stay because James had to work that night and he needed to get home to get some rest. Our couple days of snow were def cold, but enjoyable.
